City of Jerseyville

City of Grafton
At the confluence of America’s two great rivers, the Mississippi and Illinois, the riverfront community of Grafton is known for its sweeping views and vibrant downtown district. Once a bustling hub for river traffic along the Mississippi and Illinois rivers, Grafton is now known for its resort-quality amenities including scenic river dining, an abundance of guest houses and outdoor fun. Take a relaxing river cruise on board the aptly named Hakuna Matata river boat or soar to the tops of the river bluffs 300 feet high on the Grafton SkyTour. Jersey County
Located to the north of St. Louis on US 67, Jersey County covers over 240,000 acres and is predominately rural. Jerseyville, the county seat, is the largest municipality and offers shopping, restaurants, recreation, and a friendly atmosphere for visitors. Grafton, a tourist town along the river, is the second largest municipality and is located on Illinois 100, part of the National Scenic Byway called The Great River Road. The Mississippi River delineates the southern edge of the county and the Illinois River along much of the western edge. The bluffs of Pere Marquette State Park overlook the confluence of the Mississippi, Illinois, and Missouri Rivers.
Jersey Economic Development Council
An organization formed to assist and enhance the economic opportunities presented to Jerseyville, Illinois. This council allows all aspects of business development, recruitment and enhancement to aid Jerseyville and the surrounding areas to be a national participant in our economy.
